Crab Town (Book Review)

Crab Town by Carlton Mellick is about five criminals, known as the House of Cards, who decide to rob one of the last banks in FreedomCity. This novella takes place in a future that mirrors our own minus the bizarre conventions. CrabTown is where all the low class/poor are forced to live. To make it worse, these “crab” towns are full of high radiation levels and giant crabs that live on the outskirts. The House of Cards want to make change and get rid of the ever widening gap between the rich and the poor.

In Crab Town, Mellick weaves a bizarro cautionary tale jam packed with radiation fetishes, bank robberies, and the poor trying to rise up against the rich. This has to be one of Mellick’s best novellas yet. Buy that ish now.
